The “Korean Language and Culture of the Social Integration Program (KIIP)” is the basic textbook for the Ministry of Justice’s social integration program, ‘Korean language and culture’, and consists of textbooks, workbooks, teacher’s guides, auxiliary materials by immigrant type, and other auxiliary materials.
The textbooks are organized according to the educational time for each stage of the social integration program, and the content of Korean language and culture necessary for immigrants to settle in Korean society is selected. In addition, the characters are married immigrants, workers, foreign students, etc., as well as children entering mid-way, sharing thoughts and information with Koreans and living with empathy.
Workbooks and supplementary materials for each type of immigrant are designed so that immigrants can review and supplement their learning according to their learning speed and ability. Teachers will also be able to use it flexibly to fit the classroom situation.
Teacher's Guides and other aids will guide teachers through clear understanding and operation of the core content of the lesson. It will also help teachers spend more time designing lessons that fit the classroom situation, instead of reducing essential lesson preparation time.

The National Institute of Korean Language is a language regulator of the Korean language. It was created on January 23, 1991, by Presidential Decree No. 13163 (November 14, 1990). It is based in Seoul, South Korea.
The institute was originally founded at a non-governmental level as the Academy of the Korean Language in 1984. When the institute gained status as a subsidiary of the Korean Ministry of Culture, it was renamed to National Academy of the Korean Language from 1991. It was again renamed to its current name in 2005.
